The Middletons to buy dream holiday home in Mustique

Kate Middleton's parents, Carole and Michael, are reportedly set to buy a fabulous holiday mansion in Mustique.

The couple are already firm regulars at the exclusive Caribbean island, and even invited other rich residents to the royal wedding.

So entrenched are they in the social fabric of the exclusive 1,400-acre island, that they invited a string of fellow holiday regulars, including hedge-fund boss Mark Cecil and his wife Katie; Roger Pritchard, who is head of the Mustique Company; tennis coach Richard Shaffer; equestrian manager Liz Saint and the island doctor, Michael Bunbury.

And not only do Carole and Michael love the island, their children do too.

Back in 2006, Kate was spotted enjoying a luxury getaway to the island with Prince William, who was so relaxed there he gave regulars a barefoot rendition of Elvis Presley's Suspicious Minds at Basil Charles' eponymous bar.

The couple stayed at Hibiscus, a luxury villa owned by Jigsaw clothing chain founders, John and Belle Robinson, and enjoyed sunbathing on a fabulous yacht.

Mustique has long been associated with the royal family, since Princess Margaret acquired ten acres of land there in the 60s. She built a fabulous house, and turned the island into a celebrity honeypot.

The jet set soon followed, with David Bowie and Mick Jagger snapping up its properties.

The island boasts two hotels, but only 110 houses, and has a strict no-paparazzi rule.

Regular visitors include Jemima Khan, Liz Hurley and fashion designer Anya Hindmarch.
