Tiny Puppy Determined to Make Friends With Husky Foster Brother Is As Cute As Can Be

Sometimes, the best things come in the smallest packages. If you ask dog owners, puppies are the perfect examples! At just a fraction of the size, these babies are just as adorable and affectionate as their adult relatives. They're incredibly loving, curious, and playful--what's not to love?

Even though puppies could make just about anyone smile, not all dogs are thrilled to spend time with puppies. Just look at Zeus! This patient Husky is the best foster brother to the dogs and puppies that his mom, @pawrudd, brings home, but sometimes, he's only tolerating them.

On March 30, the dedicated foster mom caught the sweet and silly moment when one of her foster puppies, Harper, tried her very best to make friends with the tolerant, sleepy dog. It's pure gold!

OMG--could this be any cuter? Foster puppy Harper is so curious about her mysterious big brother, but it seems like Zeus would rather take a nap than try to play with the little one. What a chill guy!

Many Siberian Huskies would be running wild trying to play with the puppies, but to Zeus, this is just another normal day. He's been a gentle, welcoming presence in this foster mom's home, and it seems like he's helped plenty of new friends feel at home.

"He is so patient with all of your fosters!" gushed commenter @raeann_82. "He’s the best dog ever!" I'm positive this dog owner would agree. Zeus is a regular guest star on her pet-focused TikTok channel, and he's always so gentle and kind to the other animals--especially the babies!

Harper is one of three young rescue puppies in this foster home, though so far, she's the only pup brave enough to approach their big brother. Judging by his gentle giant energy, though, it's only a matter of time before they're all comfortable with him.

Fostering Saves Lives

This unlikely animal friendship is just one adorable example of how fostering saves and improves many animals' lives. Whether a home can take in one animal in need or a whole litter, every foster placement makes more room in shelters for other cats and dogs to be rescued. Fostering also helps shelter pets get used to living in a home, so when the time comes that they are adopted, they are more likely to be successful in their forever home.

If you're unsure about becoming a dog's foster parent, many local shelters hold informational classes that would be perfect for you. Some classes are in person, while others are online, and some may only pertain to fostering a certain species of animal. However, it's never a bad idea to learn more about fostering rescue pets--whether or not you're ready to commit.
