Netflix favourite The Crown returns for a second series this week and there's a couple of classic Premier League derbies to enjoy on Sunday. So get cosy on your couch and check out what you can watch this week...

1. Kirstie's Handmade Christmas - Tuesday at 8pm on Channel 4

Kirstie Allsop embraces Christmas like no other TV presenter it seems. Watch this jolly show for inspiration if you want decorations, treats and gifts that the whole family can make at home. This is sure to get you into the festive spirit, Grinches steer clear!

2. The Crown: Season 2- available from Friday on Netflix

Given the clamour surrounding the latest royal engagement, this drama is returning for a second series at an exceedingly appropriate time. The story picks up with Claire Foy's Queen Elizabeth II attempting to deal with her husband's increasingly unpredictable behaviour.

3. Attenborough and the Giant Elephant - Sunday at 9pm on BBC1

Not content with enchanting the nation between 8-9pm with Blue Planet, David Attenborough is back after the watershed with this investigation into the remarkable life and death of Jumbo the celebrity elephant. As well as Jumbo's skeleton, Attenborough explores the lives of wild elephants to explain Jumbo's troubled mind, and he discovers how our attitude to captive elephants has changed dramatically in recent years.

4. Liverpool v Everton andManchester United v Manchester City - Sunday from 12:30pm on Sky Sports Premier League

Sky Sports viewers can enjoy two prestigious fixtures live this Sunday. First the Merseyside derby will see Sam Allardyce lead the Toffees into Anfield hoping that Livepool's set-piece defending will once again come unstuck. Then a top of the table clash sees Manchester's two giants face-off in what is arguably the most important game of the Premier League season. Don't miss it!
