The nights are drawing in more quickly, but don't despair the television series on at the moment are hitting full stride. So get cosy on your couch and check out what you can watch this week...

1. Would I Lie to You? - Monday at 8:30pm on BBC1

Back for an eleventh series, this much-loved panel show features guests David Baddiel, Ed Balls, Jo Brand and Kimberly Wyatt. They will be competing alongside captains David Mitchell and Lee Mack as the two teams aim to fool their opponents with absurd facts and lies about themselves. The host, Rob Brydon, and captains are all in great form, having been regulars on the show for several series.

2. The Apprentice - Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One

Having dispensed with around half of the candidates, the Apprentice has hit full stride in recent weeks. Classic challenges including creating a TV advert and conducting a holiday tour have provided much mirth (for the viewers, not the contestants!). Expect more goofs and gaffes this week as those remaining try to provide a selection of services at a doggy daycare business. Someone is in for a 'ruff' ride in the boardroom!

3. Huddersfield Town v Manchester City - Sunday at 4pm on Sky Sports Premier League

Sky Sports viewers can enjoy two top flight fixtures live this Sunday. The latter promises to be a interesting encounter as Premier League new boys Huddersfield host table-toppers Man City. Pep Guardiola's team are being hailed as one of the best to ever grace the division, but the Terriers took three points off Man Utd at home earlier this season. Can they repeat the trick?

If Sky Sports is not currently part of your TalkTalk TV package, you can add the Sky Sports Boost, a month at a time, giving you access to 10 sports channels. There's no long-term commitment and they're easy to add through your TV box.

4. Blue Planet II - Sunday at 8pm on BBC One

The BBC's flagship nature documentary is proving to be a must-watch each and every week. This Sunday will be no different. The 'Green Seas' episode will capture the lives of those creatures whom inhabit the ocean's submarine kelp forests and fields of seagrass.
