Five must-see TV highlights for the week ahead

Recommendations for 11 September - 17 September 2017

Richard Madden and Holiday Grainger

Channel 4 dominates our recommendations this week with a flagship sci-fi series based on the short stories of Philip K Dick, plus the return of comedy talkshow The Last Leg and reality TV tearjerker The Undateables.

1. The Undateables - Monday at 9pm on Channel 4

Man from Undateables

The producers of this excellent (if badly named) reality TV show have found a new set of people who cope with challenging and often-misunderstood conditions while looking for love. This week trio includes Jason who's a transport buff with autism, vlogger Charley, who has cerebral palsy, and Souleyman, a sprinter who is gradually losing his sight.

2. A League Of Their Own - Thursday at 9pm on Sky 1

James Corden pops back across the Atlantic to rejoin team captains Andrew Flintoff and Jamie Redknapp on this light-hearted, if a little laddish, panel show featuring guests from the world of sport and entertainment.

3. The Last Leg - Tuesday at 10pm on Channel 4

Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker return for the seventh series of their incisive yet irreverent talk show that originally ran alongside the 2012 Summer Paralympics.

4. Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams - Sunday at 9pm on Channel 4

The first of 10 standalone episodes, The Hood Maker, takes us to a version of London where there is unrest between mind-reading 'Teeps' and regular humans. Top directors and all-star casts promise to provide us with an audacious, thrilling series that takes us into the far reaches of imagination. But will it stand up to inevitable comparisons with Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror?

5. King Arthur Legend of the Sword (12) on the TalkTalk TV Store

On-demand viewers can now download and watch this stylish retelling of the Arthurian legend from Guy Ritchie through their TalkTalk TV boxes or online via the TalkTalk TV Store.
