Supermarket employee rushes to save elderly man in wheelchair rolling down escalator

A supermarket employee managed to save an elderly man in a wheelchair from injury after he rolled down an escalator in southwest China.

The CCTV video, captured in the city of Kaili in Guizhou Province, shows a woman in a blue shirt suddenly running to stop the wheelchair-bound man from smashing into the counter at the bottom of the escalator.

A woman reportedly pushed the elderly man in the wheelchair onto the escalator.

The wheelchair lost control and then slid down the escalator when the woman turned her back to help a child get on it.
