Strictly Come Dancing judges Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse have denies reports of a feud between them.

During Halloween Week's live show the judges squabbled over their criticism and scoring of the celebrities with Mabuse pointing at Revel Horwood, 57, at one point and shouting. "Diva! Diva!"

Viewers speculated on social media that there was more to the banter between the judges than it appeared, suggesting there was animosity between them behind the scenes.

But a Strictly spokesperson told the Mail Online: "This story is completely untrue, Motsi and Craig adore each other."

The pair put on a united front with Mabuse sharing a picture of her and Revel Horwood in their Halloween fancy dress on Twitter, captioned: "Happy Halloween @CraigRevHorwood should we tell them??"

This was accompanied by a string of heart and 'crying with laughter' emojis.

The Australian choreographer recently said in an interview: "Motsi's got six people in her dressing room doing the make-up, the lipstick, the eyes, the false eyelashes, her hair, her dress.

"She's a diva... Whereas I have no one. I do my own. I do my own hair and make-up."

Mabuse recently revealed that the judges were not 'friends' off screen.

She said:"In Germany, we’ve had the same judges for 10 years and there’s a basis of friendship. In the UK, it’s different...

"There’s so much pressure – it’s prime time, so you get in, you do the job and everybody just wants to go home."

The judges often disagree over performances and exchange joking insults during the live shows.

Head judge Shirley Ballas, 62, recently appealed for "respect" after she was trolled on social media for her dance-off decisions.

Revel Horwood wrote in his column in Best magazine: "Shirley seems to get great pleasure from contradicting me this year, doesn't she?!

"She's gunning for the big fight, I reckon. She's got that feistiness in her, she really went for my jugular in the first live show and, well, if you've been watching at all, you'll see she has continued to.

"What can I say – I haven't even started with Shirley, darlings."
