Stacey Solomon's two-year-old son back in hospital after lip op
Stacey Solomon's two-year-old son Rex is back in hospital days after a “nightmare” accident left him needing stitches in his lip.
The toddler received stitches at the weekend after falling in the garden, and Solomon took him back to hospital on Thursday night (17 June) after his temperature started rising.
The Loose Women star, who is pregnant with her fourth child, updated fans on Instagram as she waited with Rex, explaining that because of his age and the fact that he was post-op, doctors weren’t taking any risks.
Sharing a selfie of her on a hospital bed with only one of her false eyelashes on, Solomon wrote: “It’s been the longest, most emotional week.
"I honestly don’t know how I’ve even got one eyelash still on.”
She later posted an update, saying that everything was “ok and stable”.
The TV star, 31, also thanked fans for helping her get through the long night in the hospital.
She said their messages were like a hug.
She wrote: “It’s been a really long night, and a long week, and I’m just so grateful for the NHS care and kindness. I’m so grateful that pickle is ok…
"And I’m so grateful for your kindness. Honestly, I’m very tired and emotional but I can’t even begin to describe the comfort your messages and kind words brought to me all through the night. They were like the cuddle I really needed at 3am.
"So thank you."
The couple announced earlier this month that they are expecting their second child together after going through miscarriages while trying for a new baby.
As well as Rex, Solomon is mum to sons Zachary and Leighton from previous relationships.
Swash has son Harry from a former relationship.
