Clippers mourn death of video assistant Assane Drame, 26, in car accident
The Los Angeles Clippers are mourning the death of video assistant Assane Drame, the team announced on Wednesday. Drame was 26.
Drame's sister had tweeted a request for help in finding her brother after his family reported him missing, but later said her brother had died in a car accident. In their statement, the Clippers praised Drame's work ethic and character and said he was respected by several parts of the organization after being hired as a video intern in 2019.

The fatal car accident occurred when Drame was driving home from the Clippers' media day on Monday, per 1090 AM's Arash Markazi. He had also been present at the groundbreaking of the Clippers' planned Intuit Dome.
According to Drame's LinkedIn profile, he was a graduate of New Jersey's Rowan University and had worked as an intern or contributor at NBC Sports Philadelphia, Philadelphia radio station WHYY and the FanSided blog for the Phoenix Suns.
