Chiefs, Buccaneers will meet in Week 4 for Super Bowl LV rematch
If you've been dying to see a Super Bowl LV rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the NFL has heard your plea and made that wish come true.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will face Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on "Sunday Night Football" in Week 4, giving this marquee game a national time slot for maximum drama.

This meeting on Oct. 2 marks the first time the Chiefs and Bucs will meet since Super Bowl LV, when Brady went 21-for-29 with three touchdowns and the Bucs absolutely smothered the Chiefs' offense. The Bucs won 31-9, preventing the Chiefs from repeating as Super Bowl champions.
Neither team made it to the Super Bowl in the 2021 playoffs. The Bucs got bounced in the divisional round, and the Chiefs took a bow in the AFC championship game. Both lost to the teams that would eventually end up in the Super Bowl, but that probably didn't soften the blow very much.
NFL releasing schedule Thursday night
This schedule announcement could be the last official one we'll get before the NFL drops its entire 2022 schedule on Thursday night. In the days leading up to the announcement, they've released a handful of enticing schedule nuggets to get fans excited — or alternately annoyed, since they could just release the entire slate of games whenever they want.
Whether you're excited or annoyed, you can't deny that the NFL has announced some thrilling games over the past week or so. Here's what they've revealed so far:
The full slate of international games, including three in London, one in Mexico City, and the first game ever played in Germany.
The Week 2 "Monday Night Football" overlapping doubleheader featuring the Tennessee Titans vs. the Buffalo Bills, and the Minnesota Vikings vs. the Philadelphia Eagles.
A Christmas Day matchup between the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams, which will be aired on CBS and Nickelodeon
A Week 10 game stuffed with drama, as Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers meet as opponents for the first time when the Dallas Cowboys face the Green Bay Packers.
The full schedule will (finally) be released on Thursday, May 12 at 8pm ET on NFL Network.
