San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa signs rookie contract

The San Francisco 49ers have agreed to terms with their top draft pick Nick Bosa before training camp begins.

Rookie defensive end Bosa has signed a four-year deal reportedly worth $33.55million.

Bosa, 21, was selected by the Niners with the second overall pick of April's draft.

However, the former Ohio State star suffered a grade-one hamstring strain in May and it was reported he will likely be sidelined until the preseason games.

He made six tackles, four sacks and forced two fumbles in three games for the Buckeyes last season before suffering a core muscle injury in mid-September.

His father, John, played for the Miami Dolphins and his brother, Joey, is a key player for the Los Angeles Chargers.
