Ronaldo lookalike enjoys celebrity stature in Iraq

25-year-old Biwar Abdullah is popular in northern Iraq's Soran region due to his striking resemblance to Portugal's soccer captain Cristiano Ronaldo.

Biwar Abdullah enjoys celebrity status his home town and it's not just off the pitch, he's an amateur football with some Ronaldo-like skills on it too.

"A lot of people tell me that I look like Cristiano Ronaldo, despite the fact that I'm an Arab, Kurdish " he told Yahoo Sport.

"The important thing is that I get to meet him one day," he added.

Biwar is often stopped in the street on his way to work at a construction site and asked for selfies by a football-mad compatriots.
