Returning Griffin scores hat-trick to sink Salford
Josh Griffin returned to haunt Salford Red Devils as his hat-trick helped Hull FC rebound from their Warrington Wolves humiliation with a 23-16 win in Sunday's Super League encounter.
Last time out, Lee Radford's men were mauled 63-12 by the table-topping Wolves but Salford suffered more home misery at the AJ Bell Stadium.
Griffin, who joined Salford in 2014 before moving on to Hull prior to the 2017 season, broke through after just five minutes and – despite Josh Jones responding for the hosts – six points from Marc Sneyd's boot had Hull leading 10-6 at the break.
The lead was stretched when Griffin reacted quickest to a knockdown and he had a third by the 51st minute after fine work from Sneyd and debutant Connor Wynne.

Niall Evalds and Jackson Hastings scores threatened a comeback for Salford, but they failed to turn the match on its head and have still won just once at home this year.
Hull climb to fifth as a result of their away win, while Salford are seventh.
