Foran out for up to three months in blow to Bulldogs

Canterbury Bulldogs playmaker Kieran Foran is set to miss up to three months due to an ankle injury.

Foran, 28, needs surgery on a "high ankle sprain" suffered during the Bulldogs' 22-8 win over the Wests Tigers in the NRL on Sunday.

The Bulldogs confirmed on Tuesday they would be without Foran for an extended period.

"Bulldogs playmaker Kieran Foran is to undergo surgery for a high ankle sprain, meaning he is likely to miss 10 to 12 weeks," they said in a statement.

Canterbury's win over the Tigers was their first of the season as they sit in second-last in the NRL.
