Jets set to sign linebacker C.J. Mosley to five-year deal
C.J. Mosley appears to have become the latest marquee free agent to have agreed terms with the New York Jets.
According to multiple reports, New York will sign former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Mosely to a five-year deal worth up to $85million with $51m guaranteed.
Mosley’s reported guarantee breezes past the previous record for inside linebackers set by Carolina Panthers star Luke Kuechly in 2015 ($34m).
The 26-year-old made four Pro Bowl appearances in five seasons with the Ravens and had at least 100 tackles in every season except 2016 (92) when he missed two games.
The Jets reportedly also agreed to deals with ex-Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr and former Washington Redskins receiver Jamison Crowder.
The new league year begins March 13 at 4 p.m. ET.
