Davis announces Chargers deal
Thomas Davis on Tuesday revealed that he has signed a deal with the Los Angeles Chargers.
The linebacker has spent his entire 14-year career with the Carolina Panthers, but announced that he is set for pastures new.
"Very happy that I’m going to be able to showcase my talents for the LA Chargers! Long way from home but I’m extremely excited about this opportunity!" Davis, 35, posted on Twitter.
Carolina made the surprise decision to waive Davis in January and make room for a younger roster.
Despite being suspended for the first four games of the 2018 season after failing a drugs test, Davis recorded 79 tackles, six pass deflections and three tackles for a loss in 12 games.
