Barr remaining with Vikings, snubs Jets

Anthony Barr has decided to snub the New York Jets and stay with the Minnesota Vikings.

One day after he reportedly told the Jets he was going to sign with them, the free-agent linebacker has reportedly agreed to terms with the Vikings.

Barr is said to be accepting less money to remain with Minnesota in a multi-year deal worth $13.5million per season.

After Barr verbally agreed a switch to the Jets, the Vikings "sweetened their offer" on Monday to get him to stay.

Barr, who was drafted by the Vikings, has made four Pro Bowl appearances in a row.

Last season he recorded 55 tackles, three sacks and one forced fumble in 13 games.
