The Los Angeles Lakers paid tribute to milestone man LeBron James.

Lakers superstar James leapfrogged Michael Jordan and into fourth place on the NBA all-time scoring list during Wednesday's clash against the Denver Nuggets.

The 34-year-old star passed Jordan's 32,292 total with a layup in the second quarter at Staples Center midweek.

Los Angeles congratulated James and played a tribute video for the three-time NBA champion at the next timeout.

James became emotional on the Lakers' bench during the video.

The 15-time All-Star signed a four-year, $153.3million contract with the Lakers in the offseason and has averaged 27 points per game this term.

James and Jordan are widely considered the two best players in NBA history. Jordan won six titles and five MVP awards during his 15 seasons with the Bulls and Wizards.
