Manchester City hit by latest De Bruyne blow
Kevin De Bruyne suffered another injury setback as he hobbled out of Manchester City's Premier League game at Bournemouth shortly before half-time.
The Belgium midfielder was City's standout performer as they won the EFL Cup and claimed Premier League glory with a 100-point haul last season.
His campaign has been wrecked by fitness problems this time around, with the 27-year-old spending two extended spells on the sidelines before the turn of the year due to medial knee ligament damage.
And, with Saturday's match at the Vitality Stadium locked at 0-0, De Bruyne pulled up after sliding a pass down the right channel and immediately signalled to be replaced.
Riyad Mahrez came on for Pep Guardiola's side, who are attempting to take top spot from Liverpool before their title rivals contest the Merseyside derby against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday.
