Australia's Kane Richardson out of India tour

Kane Richardson has been ruled out of the remainder of Australia's tour of India due to a side injury, with Andrew Tye called up in his place.

The 28-year-old fast bowler was injured during training in the nets ahead of the opening Twenty20 international in Vizag last week.

Richardson has not recovered and will now fly home as Tye joins the group.

Australia physio David Beakley said: "Kane reported some left side pain at training prior to the opening T20I.

"Unfortunately, he has not recovered well enough in order to play a further part in the tour.

"Kane will return home to continue his rehabilitation and we will monitor his progress over the coming weeks."

Australia won the dramatic first T20I by three wickets on Sunday and will look to clinch the series in the second and final match on Wednesday.

They will then face India in five ODIs, starting in Hyderabad on Saturday.
