Serbia progress in the balance with one game to go
Serbia's place in the FIBA Basketball World Cup remains in doubt with one qualifying fixture to go after they were upset by Estonia on Thursday.
The 2014 finalists have made hard work of their qualifying campaign, finishing second to Germany in the first round and now taking the second group stage down to the wire.
Their 71-70 defeat leaves them only one point above Israel in the final qualifying berth in Group L ahead of a meeting between the two in their final match of the round, when only a win would guarantee Serbia's progress.
Israel were 81-77 winners over already qualified Germany on Thursday, while table-topping Greece beat Georgia, who despite being out of contention could yet influence the race between Serbia and Israel for qualification.
France are already safely through but lost 76-69 in Finland. They will be joined in China by Czech Republic, who triumphed 69-64 over Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Russia lead the chase for the final spot in Group K following their thumping 104-60 victory in Bulgaria.
Australia clinched top spot in Group F in the Asian and Oceanian process with an 81-60 success against Kazakhstan, while there were also wins for Japan and Philippines.
