Michael Schumacher flown out to Mallorca for winter sun family holiday

Michael Schumacher spent his recent 50th birthday at a new family home in Mallorca. The property, purchased by Schumacher's wife Corinna last year for £25m is located in the gated community of Las Brisas del Port d'Andratx.

German publications Bunte and Bild, claimed that the seven-time world champion was flown to the Mediterranean island by helicopter from the family's main residence in Gland on Lake Geneva, Switzerland.

This has led to speculation that progress has been made in Schumacher's recovery from brain injuries sustained in a late 2013 skiing accident.
