McLaren reveal futuristic race car for 2050

McLaren has revealed what it imagines a racing car might look like in 2050.

It perceives Grand Prix racing machines as continuing to focus on the relationship between the driver the vehicle and the ground beneath but with some very futuristic twists.

Among them is an artificial intelligence co-pilot, which will offer advice based on its knowledge of driver preferences and calculations concerning the potential race outcomes.

McLaren also predicts that the vehicles will develop shape-shifting abilities to adapt and make the most of straight stretches and curves.
