Joshua King and Gonzalo Higuain could soon be on the move.

After beating Cardiff City 5-1 in his first match as Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be ready to make his first signing for his new side.

Solskjaer has been linked with Bournemouth’s 26-year-old striker Josh King, who he worked with as a youngster when United’s reserve coach.

King has been in impressive form in the Premier League, with five goals already this season, and the Sun believe that a bid of £25 million could be in the office. Eddie Howe, Bournemouth’s manager, would however be reluctant to sell.

United continue to be linked with Porto’s young central defender Eder Militao, though he may soon negotiate a new contract which would increase his release clause.

Meanwhile, the Star report that Brazilian international Fred has no plans to quit Old Trafford despite a slow start to his career. His agent has said he will not give up even if he sees little action in his first season at the club, and will continue to work hard.

Real Madrid scouting Jadon Sancho

Real Madrid first tried to take Jadon Sancho to Spain when he left Manchester City, by offering him football with reserve side Castilla, and more money than he was offered at Borussia Dortmund.

The chance to play more minutes at a senior level for Dortmund convinced Sancho to go to Germany, but the European champions remain interested in the 18-year-old forward. They are joined by Barcelona and Bayern Munich as he impresses in the Bundesliga.

A current City player, Brahim Diaz, may go direct to Real Madrid, and Marca says that has focused City on keeping Phil Foden happy to as not to lose all their best young talent.

Chelsea line up January targets

Chelsea have a three-man shortlist for attacking reinforcements for the January transfer window, according to the Mail.

The first target the paper names is Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir. Fekir, 25, could join for less than the £52 million agreed between the French club and Liverpool in the summer, before the move fell apart.

Fekir has a contract that runs to 2020, which may force Lyon’s hand over a sale. The French international could be a viable replacement for Eden Hazard, and could join in the summer if any transfer is agreed now.

Maurizio Sarri would be keen on bringing in Gonzalo Higuain from AC Milan, where he is on loan from Juventus. The 31-year-old striker could move to Stamford Bridge for the rest of the season.

The last name on the list is Borussia Dortmund’s 20-year-old American international Christian Pulisic, who could cost the London club £60 million.
