Sam Darnold injury update: Jets coach Bowles not ready to name starting QB
Sam Darnold appears to be ready to make his return, but head coach Todd Bowles is not ready to name the New York Jets' starting quarterback for Sunday just yet.
Rookie quarterback Darnold was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, indicating he could be ready to play against the Buffalo Bills after missing the last three games due to a foot injury.
However, Bowles was not prepared to confirm if Darnold or Josh McCown would start against the Bills.
"No, not yet," Bowles told reporters.

Darnold has been dealing with a the hurt foot since Week 9, but practiced on a limited basis all last week leading up to the team's Week 13 loss to the Tennessee Titans, when McCown played instead.
Reports suggested Darnold could have played, but the Jets opted to take a cautious approach with the injury.
Darnold, the third overall pick in this year's draft, has completed 159 of 289 passes for 1,934 yards and 11 touchdowns with 14 interceptions in nine games this season.
