Windies quick Gabriel banned for second Tigers Test
West Indies fast bowler Shannon Gabriel has been banned for the second Test against Bangladesh following a clash with Imrul Kayes in Chittagong on Thursday.
The paceman admitted making inappropriate and deliberate physical contact with the Tigers opening batsman on day one of the first Test.
Gabriel, who took 4-70 on the opening day of the two-match series, was given two demerit points - taking him over the threshold of five in the space of two years.
The Windies will subsequently have to do without the 30-year-old Trinidadian in Mirpur next week.
Bangladesh lead by 133 runs after slumping to 55-5 in their second innings on day two, having bowled the tourists out for 246.
