Russian player scores extraordinary backflip penalty

Russian youth footballer Norik Avdalyan, 22, has pulled off a penalty of epic proportions.

Avdalyan, who plays for Kazan National Technical University, successfully blasted his penalty in the 55th minute of a match in Kazan's 4-0 victory over Cheboksary.

The National Student Soccer League was created in 2011 and currently includes 29 teams from 22 Russian cities.

This isn't the first occasion that Avdalyan, who also plays for Rubin Kazan's second team, has scored such a goal – Avdalyan also used the skill back in November 2017.

Footage of the penalty has now gone viral with the Russian national team's account tweeting: "Have you ever seen a penalty like this?!!!"
