Manchester City will look to utilise ‘spy cameras’ ahead of their tasty clash against Liverpool at Anfield, according to reports.

The two clubs, unbeaten so far this season, go head-to-head in the Premier League on Sunday evening in a match which promises goals.

But after unsavoury scenes at Anfield in last season’s Champions League encounter, where the City team bus was the target of bottles and fireworks, the Manchester club are said to be equipping their vehicle on Sunday with high definition cameras.

Those new cameras will supposedly be able to swivel 360 degrees and zoom with high quality, meaning the club can provide police with evidence should there be any incidents.

And as part of the precautions taken by the current Premier League champions, they will be taking a different route to Anfield on Sunday.

That attack last season meant Pep Guardiola’s men were forced to travel home in a replacement vehicle, and ESPN are reporting that the club expect their arrival to be ‘peaceful’, with authorities eager to avoid a repeat.
