JaVale McGee: Lakers are going to be 'one of the most fun teams ever'
JaVale McGee believes the new-look Los Angeles Lakers will be "one of the most fun teams ever".
The Lakers have completely overhauled their roster in the offseason after LeBron James left the Cleveland Cavaliers to sign a four-year, $154 million contract with Los Angeles.
McGee agreed to a one-year, veteran's minimum deal with the Lakers shortly after free agency began. Los Angeles also recently re-signed Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and inked Lance Stephenson, Rajon Rondo and Michael Beasley to contracts.
Center McGee won two championships in as many seasons with the Golden State Warriors and, though his former employers are the heavy favourites to claim the title again in 2019, he has high hopes for the Lakers.
"Man, it's going to be amazing," McGee told ESPN. "You've got so many personalities in this locker room, but I feel like it's all going to mesh together and it's going to be one of the most fun teams ever."
McGee averaged 4.8 points and 2.6 rebounds in 2017-18. He started nine games in the playoffs for Golden State and reached double-figure scoring totals four times, including in Games 2 and 3 of the NBA Finals.
