Rams sign Cooks to five-year extension
The Los Angeles Rams have signed wide receiver Brandin Cooks to a five-year contract extension.
Cooks was traded to the Rams from the New England Patriots in April, Los Angeles parting with the 23rd overall pick in April's draft to acquire him.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Brandin Cooks has shown himself to be a class act on and off the field since the first day he joined our team," coach Sean McVay said in a statement.
"He's a proven professional in this league and signing him to a long-term contract was always our goal. We're excited to keep Brandin in a Rams uniform through 2023."
Cooks has at least 1,000 yards receiving in each of his last three seasons.
He was selected by the Saints with the 20th overall pick of the 2014 draft, spending three seasons in New Orleans before being traded to New England in March 2017.
