Astros' Bregman to participate in Home Run Derby
Alex Bregman is the latest man to be named to the field of the Home Run Derby for the 2018 MLB All-Star Game.
Bregman matched his career-high in home runs with his 18th and 19th in the Houston Astros' 6-5 win over the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday.
According to the Athletic, Bregman will be the number four seed in the tournament.
Bregman joins Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Max Muncy, Chicago Cubs Cubs stars Kyle Schwarber and Javy Baez, and Milwaukee Brewers infielder Jesus Aguilar in the Derby.
The 24-year-old was named to his first All-Star Game as a reserve on the heels of an American League (AL) Player of the Month Award in June in which he batted .306 with 11 home runs and set a club record with 30 RBIs.
