Capitals go crazy at Stanley Cup parade
Washington fans have waited decades but they finally got the celebration they deserved.
The Capitals claimed their first Stanley Cup after defeating the Vegas Golden Knights and commemorated their victory on Tuesday with a parade down Constitution Avenue ending in a rally on the National Mall in Washington.
The festivities began in the morning and were expected to draw hundreds of thousands of attendees throughout the day.
Even rival fans congratulated the Capitals as they celebrated a long-awaited success.
