Kaufusi re-signs with Melbourne Storm
Premiership-winning back-rower Felise Kaufusi has extended his contract by two seasons with defending NRL champions Melbourne Storm.
Kaufusi's new deal will see the 26-year-old remain in Melbourne until at least the end of 2020.
The contract extension includes the option of a further two seasons following Tuesday's announcement.
Kaufusi, who made his debut in 2015, made 27 appearances last season as the Storm reigned supreme, while he also featured for Australia during the Rugby League World Cup.
"We are very happy to have re-signed Felise for a further two seasons, he is an important part of our retention strategy," said Storm football director Franck Ponissi.
"Felise has worked very hard to cement himself in the starting side, the challenge now for Felise and our next generation group of players is to continue to apply the same work ethic to help the Club strive for continued success.
"We are excited to have Felise, his wife Bek and daughter Atarah remain in Melbourne."
Kaufusi has scored two tries in eight games this season, with the Storm sixth after 11 matches.
