Rangers All-Star Beltre re-aggravates hamstring injury
Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre is set for another stint on the disabled list after re-injuring his hamstring.
The Rangers activated Beltre from the 10-day disabled list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Detroit Tigers after he missed two weeks with a left hamstring strain but the four-time MLB All-Star re-aggravated the injury against the Houston Astros on Sunday.
Beltre exited in the seventh inning in Houston - where the Rangers lost 6-1 to the World Series champions - after recording his third error in five games since being activated.
The five-time Gold Glove winner fielded a grounder but tried to beat Astros runner Yuli Gurriel to third base for a force out instead of throwing to first.
Beltre lost the race and came away from the play with an obvious limp.
The 39-year-old went one for two at the plate before the injury and is batting .310 this season.
