Twins activate Gold Glove winner Buxton from DL

Twins center fielder Byron Buxton has been reinstated from the 10-day disabled list, Minnesota announced on Thursday.

Buxton has been out since April 12 with a fractured toe.

Minnesota went 2-11 in the first 13 games without Buxton, but recovered to win six of their last eight.

The 24-year-old center fielder is one of the best defensive players in MLB and won his first career Gold Glove in 2017.

He is batting .195 in 11 games this season.
