Brewers reliever Hader makes history with eight strikeouts
Milwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Josh Hader made MLB history in Monday's 8-5 win over the Cincinnati Reds.
Reliever Hader, 24, pitched 2.6 innings and struck out eight Reds batters.
He recorded every out via strikeout. According to MLB Stat of the Day, Hader is the first pitcher in history to record eight strikeouts in less than three innings of work.
Hader made Adam Duvall look really bad swinging at a pitch that bounced well in front of the plate.
He now has four saves, a 1.00 ERA and a ridiculous 39 strikeouts in 18 innings this season.
Injured Brewers pitcher Corey Knebel is expected back later this month, and with Hader on hand, Milwaukee's bullpen is dangerous.
