WATCH: Phillies' Herrera goes over fence to rob Freeman of home run
Philadelphia Phillies center fielder Odubel Herrera pulled off one of the better home run thefts at Citizens Bank Park, robbing Atlanta Braves slugger Freddie Freeman of a two-run home run in the third inning on Saturday.
Ruled a catch on the field, umpires reviewed the play to make sure the ball had not hit the bush first, which would have been a home run, but the call stood.
Adding a bit of comedy to the moment was Nick Pivetta.
The Phillies starter who gave up Freeman's deep shot had a look of despair on his face until Herrera made the catch, when he broke into a broad smile.
