Storm dismiss Munster release reports

Melbourne Storm dismissed reports they were considering releasing playmaker Cameron Munster.

Munster is contracted with the NRL premiers until 2019, but reports suggested the 23-year-old's behaviour had led to Storm thinking about releasing the Australia and Queensland representative.

However, in a brief statement Wednesday, Storm rubbished the rumours.

"In response to speculation on social media, Melbourne Storm is not releasing or considering releasing, Cameron Munster from his Storm contract," the club said.

Munster made his NRL debut with Melbourne in 2014 and has played 65 games for Storm.
