Kyrie Irving will play no part in the Boston Celtics' matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday.
The star guard will miss the game with a sore shoulder.
Coach Brad Stevens told reporters the team will hope to have him back "sooner than later" but gave no timetable for his return.
Irving complained about the issue during the Celtics' loss Tuesday night to the New Orleans Pelicans, but it is unclear exactly when he sustained the injury.
