Warriors star Green has tests on elbow after fall
Draymond Green required scans on a left elbow injury sustained during the Golden State Warriors' defeat to the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.
The star forward returned from a two-week absence with a shoulder injury for Friday's victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, but sustained a fresh problem in the 96-81 reverse.
Green injured his elbow after accidentally being hit in the jaw by Nuggets center Nikola Jokic.
His scans reportedly came back negative.
Speaking about the incident, team-mate Kevin Durant told the San Jose Mercury News: "Jokic didn't mean to hit him in the face, but he did hit him in the face.
"That play gets called a lot, but obviously it didn't. We just move on from that. Draymond and the whole team thought it'd be an offensive foul. But it happens like that sometimes."
Green, who finished with 10 points, six assists and five rebounds, eventually returned to the game but was not available for postgame comments afterwards while he was being examined.
The Warriors (26-7) will look to bounce back when they host the Cavs (24-9) in a Christmas Day showdown on Monday.
