MLB free agent Yu Darvish used social media to deny he has agreed a deal with the Chicago Cubs.
Japanese pitcher Darvish featured in the Los Angeles Dodgers' run to the World Series last season, where they were beaten by the Houston Astros.
Darvish has since been linked with the Cubs, with reports claiming a deal has been done for the 31-year-old.
However, Darvish took to Twitter to respond, writing "#fakenews" to a report.
Darvish endured a terrible performance in game seven of the World Series, which helped the Astros claim their first title ever.
He allowed all five runs, four earned, in only 1.6 innings during Houston's 5-1 victory.
