Dai Young is hopeful Elliot Daly was not seriously injured while playing a starring role in Wasps' European Champions Cup win over La Rochelle.
Daly scored a brace of tries in a 21-3 over the Pool 1 leaders at the Ricoh Arena on Sunday, which kept Wasps firmly in the hunt to reach the quarter-finals.
The lively England international hobbled off in the second half with an ankle injury, but Wasps director of rugby Young thinks fly-half Jimmy Gopperth's damaged knee is a more serious concern.
Young said: "It's Elliot's ankle, he's walking about but we don't quite know really. Jimmy looks a little bit more serious. It's a bit of a tweak to his knee, so that's going to take a scan.
"Elliot doesn't come off for much but it's a bang that may certainly put him in doubt for the Gloucester game [on Christmas Eve]. Judging by his reaction it's not something that will keep him out for a long period.
"Every time he gets his hands on the ball you can expect something will happen. If you put him into a bit of space, he's going to finish. He is up there with the best finishers.
"They're the dampeners on what was a really good performance and afternoon. It looks like we've picked up two injuries and fingers crossed they're not too bad."
