Eagles star Zach Ertz passes concussion protocol

The Philadelphia Eagles received a boost on Thursday when star tight end Zach Ertz passed the concussion protocol.

Ertz, who is among the NFL tight end leaders in receptions (57), yards (663) and touchdowns (seven), left last Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks with a head injury,

Eagles backup tight end Trey Burton was a popular waiver-wire pickup in fantasy football, but owners trying to be sneaky will be back to Plan B with Ertz likely suiting up Sunday.

Wide receiver Nelson Agholor, who hauled in seven receptions for 141 yards and a touchdown against the Seahawks, could also see fewer targets with Ertz back in the line-up.

Quarterback Carson Wentz and the Eagles struggled in Seattle, but they will try to leave the West Coast with a better taste in their mouth when they head home from Los Angeles.
