'Outrageous and despicable': Lindsey Vonn hits out at nude photo hacker

Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn has vowed to sue those responsible for hacking and leaking nude photos from her mobile phone.

The US athlete, 32, was horrified to discover private images taken with ex-boyfriend, golfer Tiger Woods, have been published online.

In a statement to People magazine, Vonn said: "It is an outrageous and despicable invasion of privacy for anyone to steal and illegally publish private intimate photos.

"Lindsey will take all necessary and appropriate legal action to protect and enforce her rights and interests. She believes the individuals responsible for hacking her private photos as well as the websites that encourage this detestable conduct should be prosecuted to the fullest extent under the law."

The nude images were taken of Vonn during her two-year romantic relationship with Woods before they parted ways in May 2015.

Others celebrities affected by the latest nude photo hack include Miley Cyrus, Kristen Stewart and Katharine McPhee.
