The Tennessee Titans locked up defensive lineman and two-time NFL Pro Bowler Jurrell Casey to a four-year contract extension Friday, the team announced.
Casey's new lucrative deal is reportedly worth $60.4million, including $40m guaranteed.
The 27-year-old, who had two years left on his previous contract, has 33 sacks through his first six NFL seasons.
"I am 10 times stronger than I was," Casey said. "A lot of times I looked at the film [this offseason] and you see a lot of plays you can make. If you stay in your gap and use proper technique, if you have a little more oomph, then that is one split second in making the play and not making the play.
"I want to make sure I make every play I possibly can."
Casey has made the Pro Bowl in each of the last two seasons.
