In-demand Tamanivalu commits to Crusaders

Seta Tamanivalu has snubbed Chiefs as well as the opportunity to move overseas by signing a new one-year contract with Crusaders.

The versatile back, capped three times by New Zealand, has been a big hit in his first Super Rugby season with the New Zealand Conference winners after his switch from Chiefs.

Tamanivalu was a target for his previous club and had offers from abroad, but the Fiji-born 25-year-old decided he was better off remaining in Christchurch.

"I have been loving playing for this team and learning from the coaches and players around me." Tamanivalu said.

"This has been such a special season for all of us at the BNZ Crusaders with so many highlights and great memories, and the best is yet to come.

"There were options to go overseas, but I am not ready to walk away from all of the good stuff here just yet."

Excited and Grateful for another opportunity to re-sign with BNZ @crusadersrugbyteam and Nz Rugby union for one more year 2018.Thank you families and Friends for your endless support for the last few years.Much Love  #crusadeon#blessed
