Billy Slater expects to be fully fit for Melbourne Storm's NRL clash with North Queensland Cowboys next week as he recovers from being knocked unconscious by Sia Soliola.
Canberra Raiders forward Soliola was banned for five weeks on Tuesday for a brutal, late high shot which left Slater out cold in Melbourne's win at GIO Stadium last Saturday.
The Storm said full-back Slater sustained a concussion and will not be risked against Manly Sea Eagles this weekend as a precaution.
Slater, who had no recollection of what he had done in the previous fortnight after taking the blow from Soliola, has offered a positive update on his condition.
He tweeted: "Feeling ok after the weekend. Not playing this week as a precaution, but will be back next week. Thanks for the messages."

Slater is set to come up against Soliola when the Raiders man will be available to make his comeback against the leaders in round 26.
