JP Duminy has been released from the South Africa squad ahead of the third Test against England at The Oval.
Duminy was dropped following the first Test defeat at Lord's and has now been allowed to return to South Africa after the Proteas levelled the four-match series at 1-1 in Nottingham.
The 33-year-old, who has made 46 Test appearances, has scored just 121 runs in his past eight innings and managed a total of only 17 in the opening England encounter.
Meanwhile, Kagiso Rabada is back in contention after serving a one-match suspension for swearing at Ben Stokes.
"KG is one of our best bowlers," said Proteas bowling coach Charl Langeveldt. "He is the type of guy who steps up when the heat is on.
"Having KG back is a big bonus for us. He is a youngster with a lot of energy, he will come with a lot of energy. I have no doubt he will step up."
Coach Russell Domingo is also back with the squad following a family bereavement, with the Test set to begin on Thursday.
