He made headlines for his fashion on day one of The Open, and Justin Thomas was the talk of the tournament again on Friday ... for all the wrong reasons.
After his throwback look of a Ralph Lauren cardigan and tie for round one, catching everyone's attention, Thomas came unstuck as he missed the cut at Birkdale.
And it was down to the world number 13's stunning meltdown at the sixth hole in Southport - the four-time PGA Tour winner walking away with a quintuple bogey.
Thomas was even par for the tournament but after flaring his drive right and into the heavy rough, he failed to advance his ball on two swings - even losing the club.
The 24-year-old lost his ball and eventually took a one-stroke penalty as he carded a nine.
Thomas exited the major at seven over following his second-round 80 before explaining his capitulation to one curious fan.
Drive, 5 iron, whiff, backwards, plug into fescue and never find it (drop and add 1), 52 onto green, hit great putt that just missed= 9 https://t.co/1iO03zP8L3-- Justin Thomas (@JustinThomas34) July 21, 2017
