England's XI unchanged for second Proteas Test
Joe Root has confirmed that England will field an unchanged side for the second Test against South Africa at Trent Bridge, which starts on Friday.
England began Root's reign as skipper in convincing fashion at Lord's last week, taking a 1-0 lead in the four-match series with a resounding 211-run success.
Root made 190 in the first innings, while Moeen Ali starred with bat and ball - following up his 87 with career-best match figures of 10-112 as the hosts sealed victory inside four days.
The news means Toby Roland-Jones once again misses out on making his Test debut as Liam Dawson retains his place as a second spinner alongside Moeen.
England team to face South Africa: Alastair Cook, Keaton Jennings, Gary Ballance, Joe Root (captain), Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, Liam Dawson, Stuart Broad, Mark Wood, James Anderson.
